Spread Awareness
Tethics aims to organize school-wide events and assemblies to engage more students on ethical issues in technology. The club plans to utilize student announcements for updates and outreach while holding workshops for younger students, potentially in collaboration with Taletree, PAL Center, Boys & Girls Club. Additionally, Tethics seeks to develop a structured curriculum to teach foundational ethics and technology concepts.

New School Year Meeting
WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR THIS YEAR!!! We don’t wanna wait for the Tethics 2024. Thank you everyone who visited our booth and signed up (and shoutout to the faculty endorsements) We are so excited for all of the new potential members. This year there are so many projects we are looking forward to sharing so stay tuned! FIRST TETHICS MEETING SOON. We will send out an email and do a post. Make sure to stop by to check out the club.

The Annual Innovations in Medical Technology (IMT) Conference
Tethics, Cognisquad and HOSA hosted The Innovations in Medical Technology Conference on Sunday, Jan. 21. The event was held in the Spieker Center and included speeches from three speakers and a panel that answered questions from the club leaders. The topics discussed during the presentations varied from assisted reproduction, artificial intelligence and cancer treatments to diversity in the medical research field. The audience included Menlo families and students, the latter being able to claim two community engagement credits for attending.​

RSVP for IMT
We are so excited to announce the Innovations in Medi-Tech Conference which will be hosted by Tethics. The event features renowned speakers in the fields of technology, biotech, medicine, law, neuroscience, ethics, and more. It will take place on January 21st from 4:30-6, and students receive 2 CE credits for attending. We hope to see you there!

Learning from Marc Tarpenning

We were lucky enough to have Marc Tarpenning (co-founder of Tesla) come to our club as a guest speaker. We learned a lot about tethics issues Marc had faced throughout his time at Tesla: cobalt in batteries, gender equality in HR, etc. Thank you so much Marc!!!
