Spread Awareness

Tethics aims to organize school-wide events and assemblies to engage more students on ethical issues in technology. The club plans to utilize student announcements for updates and outreach while holding workshops for younger students, potentially in collaboration with Taletree, PAL Center, Boys & Girls Club. Additionally, Tethics seeks to develop a structured curriculum to teach foundational ethics and technology concepts.

We were lucky enough to have Marc Tarpenning (co-founder of Tesla) come to our club as a guest speaker. We learned a lot about tethics issues Marc had faced throughout his time at Tesla: cobalt in batteries, gender equality in HR, etc. Thank you so much Marc!!!
